Rally Design Quick Rack
Hello All!
Does anyone who owns an MK indy with a std sierra know whether the Rally Design Mk2 Escort 2.4 quick rack will replace it one-for-one?
I know Mk shortened my steering rack when i took it to them for modification, will this cause me a problem?
If so, what do i need in addition to fit this rack?
Also, is this Rally Design steering rack a good one to go for??? Any better 2.4 quick rack solutions?
Many Thanks
Charlie

Ok, so does that mean that escort and sierra racks are the same dimensions?

I dont have an mk but the sierra and escort racks are very differant hence mk going to the trouble of reworking an old sierra rack.

an MK quickrack is the sierra quickrack kit........shortened to match the shortened standard outer casing.
it's not to say an escort rack couldn't be made to fit, but i can't see it'd be easy......or worth it ultimately.
think MK's quickrack is booked as 2.8 turns, though mine now makes both wheels touch the wishbones on full full lock, so moves the rack more
than the standard one did too.

Personally i find the 2.4 rack too quick for road use, its just too twitchy, the 2.9 is perfect.
