It could be Zone Alarm...... shouldn't really need it, and I think it 'fights' with Avast!
I have Avast too, but have a FireFox 'add-on' called AdBlock Plus. With that you can block or allow pop-ups on sites.....I have that
disabled on this site.....
I haven't used Zone Alarm for years now, so can't comment honestly that it is that that is causing the problem, but my guess is, that it
is a ZA problem...

Well.........thats Zone alarm disabled , pop-up's allowed on Locostbuilders in Firefox , no idea how to find out what Adblock plus is allowing
or blocking....

Claire......in FireFox, at the top > Tools, scroll to Add-Ons, click get add-ons, then look for, or search for AdBlock Plus .... then click on to
install/download

I already have adblock - and it's driving me mad by blocking all attachments on this site 
I have to manually allow them everytime .
Its cuz I is blond , innit

Claire.....if you have AdBlock Plus, you will have a ABP symbol either at the top right hand corner or bottom right hand corner....right click on the
symbol and click disable on www.locostbuilders ......
