Fiber glass body painting

Hi, I would like to get my Replicar pictured below sprayed in metalic silver, has anyone got any recommendations of where to get it done. The body is well finished in grey gel coat so should only need a quick flatting back

If you want a cheap option (eg if you don't want the worry of a showroom finish) i recommend having a crack at roller painting.

I painted my Fury this way as have others- its a popular method with the Veedub camper guys - and the results (to my eyes!) have been superb - you can get paint mixed to any colour you like. Cost around £100 all in ;it will take time and labour but no special tools.

Google 'combi colour ' and you will find loads of guidance and examples to ogle at.

Hi, thanks for the replies I will definitely look into both of those although the roller painting does look interesting, cheers

Hi

I have also hand painted a few cars, the first couple were Mini's and then my 7 << was originly hand painted, but resprayed in two pack a couple of years ago

Ive used Repaint, as its designed to be brushed or rollered on, left for a couple of days, flatted off to get rid of bumps etc, and re applied, flat off again with 1200 paper, and polish, with time and care, a really good finish can be achieved

Car Re-Paint Tin 500ml - Signal Green - Brush or Spray On - CarPlan

Steve

Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

WOW that looks absolutely superb, I will definitely be giving them a call, did they do all the prep work on the car? I think mine will just need flatting off as it is all brand new and very good quality GRP.
Cheers

Yep, they will do everything. While mine was being done, they were also working on a 350z, Audi A3 Saloon and a Rolls Royce Phantom, so they know how to do a good paint job !.
