Re-aligning the tin tops suspension

Hi,

So as part of a restoration I've pulled all the suspension and subframes off the Fiesta, given it new wishbones, springs, struts and bushes. Question is what is the best way to get all this re-ligned...

Triangulate the subframes off the shell? Lots of string... Any suggestions?

Thanks

does it not just use the std. ford alignment pins ?
as far as I know thats the only way ford ever recommend - so they don't quote measurements...

my dad got a set years ago for the mk1 mondeo - but I've used them on the focus and others since:

I've seen similar sets for this kind of money:

but you could make your own if you google for the sizes (I can't get to mine to tell you the size at the moment as were still having to isolate )

Cheers ok I'll look for those, I was going to use the marks on the rails from where the brackets sat but they are all removed.

The back axle mounts are very...hmm sloppy can the alignment pins be used there too?

Thanks

Not worked on a Mk6 like yours so I'm not sure on the specifics - but if it has holes for the pins use them... The are listed for fiesta's so I'm sure they will do at least the front subframe.
(Have you got a manual for that car?, It'd normally tell you what kind of pins to use)

The one I've done the most is the front subframe on a MK1 focus (thanks to 2 doggy recon steering racks in a row ) the pins make it a 5min job (on the ramp at least)
First time I went through the exercise of painting marks for alignment just to double check - but the pins worked so well I never bothered after that
