We usually get off M1 at Donington J24, past the circuit about a mile, take a left then pick up A447.
Griffydam, Swannington, Ravenstone, Ibstock.
Then past Mallory, around Hinckley then pick up the A5 onto the M69.
Then A46 etc as above to Stoneleigh.

Thanks for the help guys ! Both routes sound good but think coming off m1 at donnington could be interesting since I've never been there before.I need to decide what time I'm setting off and work out roughly what sort of time I'm going to be at various parts of the journey to see if it coincides with any of your journey times . It would be great to travel most or some of the way with fellow locusters . Cheers - Nick

hi . What time are you meeting at morrisons ? I m leaving York at 7 in the morning so if it's near the time I ll be passing I ll go to morrisons. The weather is going to be bad tomorrow so might have to change my plans at last minute . But it would be nice if a few of us went down together. Cheers - nick
