We cant do it, but believe the phone shops can do it for around £10 to £50 depending on who does it. This unlocking isn't included in the sale.

Our local shop said £50 to un lock, but have been told it can be done cheaper. (can get this done for the extra £50 at cost, but will try another shop for a price if your interested).

Anyone else on here know a price for unlocking.

Cheers

usually free if your contract is up and you are the owner
(through the provider)

Another way of doing this (I have just been through similar after buying a phone that cannot be unlocked without going off to be "done" rather than by code)

I bought a 99p sim card (suitable for the phone I want to use) , chucked £10 credit on it and transfered my old number across

Took a couple of days and cost nowt (apart from the 99p sim card and the £10 credit on it - which I am still slowly working my way through)

I believe I should now be able to get the phone unlocked for free (but not that arsed now as the new provider is a bit cheaper than who I was with originally anyway)

Cheapskate ...moi??

Regards
Rob
