A PROPER Engine. :)

Well, Last Sunday I made a 300 mile round trip to go and look at a "Proper" engine. Unfortunately it's just a tad too big to fit in a kit car. Basically its about 7 feet long and 4 to5 feet square. It produces about 2,200Hp has 24 cylinders and 48 spark plugs. It has not been run in 70 years, but it is totally (less generator and starter) complete, which makes it into the "hens teeth" and "rocking horse excrement" class of engine. Every one I think should have a look see at the web site (attached) and see what they could do to support the "cause". It WILL make for a very rare example when it's done. (And IT will be).
Linky LInk to 2,200HP

Enjoy.

Lovely, yes a proper engine although not quite as powerful as the ones I used to work on but these were gas turbine not proper piston engines though.

Amazing! Just read about the project - the scale of it kinda puts my little car in perspective!!
