Brake Switches/Warning Lights

Looking for some advice on the brake electrical circuit, if anyone could be so kind?

Is the handbrake switch normally open or normally closed? I.E. when you pull the handbrake on and the dash light comes on is the switch out or in?

Same question for brake pedal? Normally open or closed? When you push the pedal does this push the switch piston in to iluminate rear lights or is the switch mounted in front of the pedal so when the pedals pushed switch piston moes out and activiates the lights?

I removed the parts a long time ago and can't remember. Could/should probably use a multimeter to find out, but i'm lazy :-)

Thanks in advance

Stuart

Push the pedal away from the switch.

Pull the handbrake lever away from the switch.

So both switches out, lights are on.
