ZX10r Turbo Indy

Hi

just thought i would update on how things are progressing with the engine,

Now got the engine back from MB customs who has done the works so should be able to cope with what i throw at it,

it has had

new MTk turbo pistons
Falcon rods 1mm shorter
new strengthend engine bolts (pull the head together better)

uprated cam chain and manual tensioner
uprated clutch springs
cometic head gasket
Compression now 9-8-1
uprated valves and spring

Valves is what caused pauls old engine to blow pic attached of what was removed from this engine,

+ some other small bits and bobs like billetsreed valve covers

So now the enviable task of intalling the engine and bolting on the turbo kit etc and setting all up,

Should be good for 250bhp at wheels around 6psi, on pump fuel,

will post some pics once getting started but a pic of engine Normally asperated attached also so can see where it starts from,

ps this engine will be for sale soon as is spare with the complete exhaust system good runner no probs,

thanks all for now

Im lovin all these turbo posts recent. It must be bonkers power!

I thought it wasnt worth it as mines an old 918 blade only to read on another post a turbo being done with EFI

Be interested to see where you fit the 'cooler - cant see there being many places with it still running efficient

I think once i get mine back at the end of this year I may go down the same route

What turbo are you going to run on this out of interest?

250 at wheels at 6psi is rather fruity

Hi All

its a gt28 in a modified housing that velocity turbos do,

plenty of room for the intercooler i have a modified cosworth 4x4 intercooler to fit under the nose cone should be more than efficient,

as several friends are running them on dax turbo cars with other side of 350+ bhp busa and zzr1400 turbos with no issues,

was mocking up the intercooler tonight so will post some other [ics over the weekend,

Cheers all

sean

oh and i have got to also do the diff to a 3;14 as the 338 will run out of steam way to early
