Anybody got any recommendations for entertaining movies that feature cars?
I know of the classics (Two Lane Blacktop, Bullit, Grand Prix, Le Mans, original Italian Job) but you don't find those in you local video/DVD
place, at least not out here.
As an example, I watched Starsky and Hutch the other evening, which I thoroughly enjoyed: some car action, some pretty girls, some comedy, didn't
take itself at all seriously.
I've started a list, feel free to agree or disagree with any of the below:
Starsky and Hutch - Recommended.
Days Of Thunder - Hollywood producer idea of Nascar racing, but worth watching.
The Fast and the Furious - Hollywood producer idea of street racing, watch only if you have absolutely nothing else to do.
Charlie's Angels - 3 gorgeous girls in a Cobra, what more do you want?
The New Avengers - Cool cars, but what the hell was the rest of the movie about?

- fantastic car chase film. And it has Jean Reno and Robert De Niro in it.
The one with Jason Statham in it as well is not too bad. Can't remember the name, it was The __________ something or other

Hmm.. I watched the lot, and two times over, and couldnt work it out either.
He is a Free Man not a number.. Plus he must have been a thoroughly good chap cos he drives a Genuine Lotus 7.
I watched P McGoohan on a programme about 10 years ago, all about the series. He didnt give anything away nor did he explain it.
I just prefer to think it meant whatever you could read into it, ie different things to different people.

There are so many good car Movies depends on what you want a couple of aussie one's good for a hoot are "the cars that ate Paris" and
of course Mad Max (the original) I loved the previously mentioned Bullitt for those of a more vintage bent there is always "genivive "

Manta, der Film is also 'sehr lustig'. The acting is probably the worst you will ever see...
Anybody mentioned 'Bourne Identity' - excellent Mini chase - and a cracking film.... the most realistic fight scene I've ever watched.
