Finally on four wheels and out the garage!

Pretty pleased this afternoon when I got the locost out of the garage for the first time.

Checked a few suspension geo details, it all seems as I'd expected.

See the photos:

Looks well

Now deny that you sat in it with arms outstretched gripping the imaginary wheel whilst wearing a smug grin

Nice one!

Its always a good feeling wheeling it out of the garage, you'll soon be driving it out!

Mark.

I have big respect for people who manage to build their cars in tiny garages. Looks great pal.

Hi Brett,

Yes, it is manufactured by a company called DARK Engineering, if you search on here you will find a thread I did on it. DE is my company lol, I made the bucket seat, this is the prototype, the final pair will by carbon fibre.

rob thats awesome well done man, whats the cost up to this point ? approx looks good

Cost wise..... Not sure exactly. The donor car was cheap and made back the money in scraping it.... So a lot of good parts were free.

I'd guess with steel and wheels, probably around £800 so far. But I still have a lot to get and do, that cost will increase a lot. It won't end up being low cost. Lol.

I spent over a grand sorting the garage, tools.... It's a big investment but well worth it. Had fun today.

Hi there.

The radiator is from a Honda Civic, 40% larger core. As I'm I using it in the front and my engine is in the rear, I should still have the same amount of water in the system, more actually. So I think it will work ok.

I got it from eBay.
