Alfa V6 Cinquecento progress pictures
rav - 16/11/06 at 08:54 PM

"Project Cinq" has been a bit on and off over the 2 or 3 years since it began.
Being over in Aus and New Zealand for a year didn't help matters, she was in a right state when I got back and wouldn't talk to me for months!

Getting on fine now though and theres been lots of progress recently, mainly building the cage, which links to the Alfa 164 subframe at the rear and suspension pick ups on the shell at the front. Its a mixture of T45 and ERW tubing which I bent on the mandrel bender at work and have been clambering around like a monkey Tigging it all up.

In case yr wondering, I'm mounting the tank, radaitor(s), battery and silencers up front. Most of its mounted now but I don't have pictures yet. Front track has been widened to match the rear with fabricated long wishbones, MR2 Mk1 uprights, new strut towers welded in and track rod arm extensions. Steering quickener (epicyclic gearbox in 1.5:1 or 2:1 ratio from the states) to go in to help get the opposite lock on quickly

Can I post a few pictures at once?

ps If anyone wants an Alfa 164 Cloverleaf 12v in need of TLC or perfect donar let me know!!

Mark

Wow That footage is awsome! Didn't know there was a mid engined Sei out there, toatally inspiring!!

Why was everyone else driving like complete pansies??

Sorry I can't find a way of reducing the size of my pictures. I can build cars but computers are a mystery!! Can it be done through paint? I don't have Piantshop or anything fancy like that. Oh no, I likes to keep it simple and old school see. Whats wrong with wood? Why aren't more of you building cars out of wood? You know where you are with wood. Mmmmm. Rescued attachment cinq 032.jpg

Open your picture in Paint go to Image, then Stretch/Skew, I set the Stretch Horizontal and Vertical setting both to 30% to get this picture below. Also save as a Jpeg makes for a much smaller file, started off as a 11.5mb bitmap file ends up as a 58Kb file

Cheers
David

Thanks David, think I've got it sorted! Hopefully this one will come out a sensible size... (latest progress at the front end) Rescued attachment P1010113.JPG
