Hi, the time has come for me to get the first MOT for my Locost. I bought the car second-hand last year with 12 months MOT and have since tidied up a few things on it.

I'm not particularly worried that it will fail for any reason, but was keen to take it to somewhere that understands and appreciates kit cars. Can you guys recommend anyone in the Southampton area?

Also, in the event of a failure, what's the legality of me driving it home to complete any work required before re-test? I know you can get away with driving the car to the test centre if you have a MOT booked.

You can drive to and FROM a required test. The failure will state that " in thier opinion the vehicle is dangerous to drive" so if the worst happened thier arse is covered but your's isn't.
