Brakes Issue
the_big_1 - 9/11/19 at 04:29 PM

Hi Guys,

Just added fluid to my brakes for the first time today.
A couple of leaks that where easily sorted.
But my fronts dont seem to work?
Bled a full container of fluid through both front but still the same.
If I move the calipers back, pumping the braks they slowly move forward etc but dont seem to have any grip.
I am thinking master cylinder? The front and rear are new, came with pedal box but that was two years ago.
I have rear as 0.7 and front as 0.625.

Cheers!

have you got the bleed nipples at the top of the calipers?

Hi,

I have them at the bottom.

Cheers.

well that's why they don't work!
you could dismount the calipers to bleed them.

Hi ya,

I guess just as easy to swap them over. Will try it and let you know.
Hope it is that simple lol

I would say that the calipers are on the wrong side, as the bleed nipple has to be at the top

It seems obvious after the event, but a number of people have been caught out by it.
