Selling my Unitol lathe. I think it's a UK rebranded Southbend 9" - 9 inch being max diameter of work piece. A previous owner has modified
it to have an old ally RWD gearbox between the motor and chuck for changing speeds. Comes with a 4 jaw chuck, some other quick change tool posts and a
few others bits (see pic of box). While the belt works, it does catch ever so slightly on the cover. A replacement V belt would solve that. Fire away
with any questions and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Viewings very welcome (although I don't drink tea, so bring your own bag!)
Lathe can be unbolted from the table for transportation. Location: Waltham on the wolds, Leics. Price: £350 (far less than I paid, hoping for a quick
sale!)

What are the overall dimensions, checking if it fits into a gap in the garage?
I love the use of the Triumph gearbox. Very lateral thinking.
Also interested in size etc. Could I go second dibs?
Provisionally sold, pending payment + collection.
absolute bargain! if i didn't already have 3 lathes i would have bitten your hand off!
Oi, join the queue.
I also like the thinking behind the gear box, I sent a link to mate who is fixing up an old Drummond that was treadle powered but he didn't like the way there was no clutch , lol
