WANTED URGENTLY: Fury live axle brackets
MK9R - 15/3/12 at 01:23 PM

Has anyone got any, just discovered rear axle is completley fubared, cracked in one direction (through us trying to straighten it i suspect, although its on a repaired welded area already, and oneside of the axle bends up 20mm higher than the other side, so the the camber is just right when you compare both sides together (i measured it with axle pointing up and used toe gauges). I have a casing but no brackets, oh the joy!!!!

I have some live axel brackets out in the garage.

I bought them when I was looking to fabricate a de-dion to fit my Tiger S6. No idea what they are designed for.

Pm me your mobile number and Ill send you some pics and dimensions.

I'd also like some brackets so if you do find some or are going to get some made I'd be interested.

I'm going to draw some up anyway but just make sureyou attach it well not like the original axle from fisher that I had that did this.

Were all your brackets twisted? The upper rear arms pick up point on the chassis are narrower than the forward llower arms so the arms are not square to the axle. Seems an odd way to do it, was thinking of just welding seperate brackets on for upper qnd lower so arms are square to axle and parallel.

Mine has the same geometry by the sound of it with the arms (upper and lower) not being parallel. I must admit I thought it was going to be fun getting the brackets setup correctly . When you spoke to Steve at fury did you ask if he had a jig? If you go with the parallel arms approach just make sure you attach the brackets well and spread the load out as the axle casing is pretty thin and mine is not the only axle that failed where the brackets meet the axle.
