Filtration - Pipercross vs ITG
sgraber - 1/10/08 at 08:09 PM

For my 1.6L Toyota engine with velocity stacks and ITB's I'm debating between the ITG Megaflow oiled filter JC50

or the Pipercross PX 600 unit

They are virtually identical in both price and overall dimension. Any debate on the quality of filtration? Thanks for your opinions as I am going to order one or the other in the very near future.

I have itg. Its what F1 used or used to use.

Pipercross look better as they is rounded.

the fit and finish of the itg is better than the pipercross and you can get the itg in rounded sausage form if you want it.

there's little difference in the price so might as well go for the better build quality item and a more reputable brand.

never had a pipercross, but I had an ITG sausage shape one on my old car, and worked a treat, they also have flameproof inner foam layer (helps smoother any flame going the wrong way!!)

ITG better than Pipercross, but neither half as good as K&N
