Wstfield or Tiger?

05 Westfield 1.8 Zetec with all new parts when built, including engine approx 8.8k cost

or

62 Tiger Avon 2.0 Zetec all new approx 9.5k (Incl new Windscreen) but reconditioned Engine, Slip Diff and Webber throttle bodies.

or

57 Tiger R6 2.0 Zetec pprox 8.5k

All have under 5000 miles of in the case of the 62 plate, 40 miles!

Which one, considering re-sale price after 3 years!?

Quick response preferred......thanks guys and gals

Jon

62 plate Tiger will probably lose the most over 3 years depending on purchase price.
The other two will probably devalue relatively equally.

Put it over the next ten years and the westfield would be a better bet as it will hold its value better.

Thanks for the advice ..... Retention is quite important as well as build quality. The 62 Tiger was missing a few bits, windscreen with wipers, wet weather gear and boot cover. Although i could negotiate in for about £9.5k i felt the car would probably lose £5k over 3-4 years.

Instead i have done a deal on this 05 Westfield for £9k - Seems like a lovely car, all supplied as new in 2005, including engine and gearbox, etc.

Hope it was the right choice. The car looks immaculate and has all the finishing touches that Westfields have, like the lining around the cockpit. The car only has 4500 miles and full service history and MOTs as well as reciepts for the original build (Modular Build from New Parts direct from Westfield). I just hope the build quality was as good. Seller advises no problems ever in the car and starts first time everytime!

Looks very nice and you've made the right decision in going for the Westfield.

First suggested upgrade is the RAC type rollbar (the standard ones are really for pushing the car into the garage and are quite low)

Have seen a standard one go flat when the car was rolled

Buyers market ---- those prices are a bit OTT
