think i might join you... sort of

while thinking about the best way to build a fast car
im torn between a mini and a locost
and for me a mini makes a bit more sense and removes need for an SVA

what id like to do is either fit the chevy small block to the back of the car
or fit twin motorbike engines
one in the front and one in the back

id imagine gearchange would be easy to sync with an electronic shifter controling actuators on both gearboxes

do you think i will be best off fitting a possibly cut down escort axle to the back of the mini and using the diff on that to link up the rear wheels to the engine?

Mmmm!

If you have an engine in the front and an engine in the back, does that qualify as mid-engined?

4 wheel drive definately!
Locost definately not!

Clear off and join the Landrover forums!

Just kidding!

If you used a Chevy small block what would you mate it to?
