Fireblade fuel pump in tiger avon

I'm just working out where to install everything for the bike engine, where is the best place on a tiger Avon to put the fuel pump? Pics would help, I'm sure I read it should be near the tank to work correctly

I take it you're using the original bike fuel pump?
Mine was located in the engine bay next to the engine with no probs whatsoever (pics in my archive.)
