Lydden Hill World Rally X

Off to Lydden Hill in the morning for the weekend for the world rally X meeting . Amazing entry again this year, it's unbelievable to walk around the pits looking at the size of the teams accommodation and rubbing shoulders with the world class drivers. So far removed from when I was there as a boy in the sixties where I saw the very first rally X. Although I only live about 5 miles away it's great to camp, the atmosphere is brilliant and in the evening you can meet the driver's and teams. Well worth a visit, if you cannot make it, it's live on TV Sunday afternoon at 4:30.

We are heading down tomorrow for Sundays racing! A 12hour round trip (without bank holiday traffic!).
Should be a good days racing!
Mark.

I was looking for some decent motorsport to go and watch this weekend and saw the RallyX at Lydden Hill so I'll be there too for Sunday!

Was it busy.

I have never been to lydden when it is busy but its one of them places that you just know lends itself to big events.

Today was my first visit in over 30 years so I have no idea how busy it gets. They could have got more in, and my friend who is going back tomorrow says it will be rammed, but we got out fine today and had a quick run home If I could I would go back tomorrow but I can't be in two places at once.
