Clive's car is pretty well known at Stoneleigh and Newark , I'm sure there's photos of previous shows and of the injection system . I've ridden in his car, it's pretty well sorted

Are using yours as s daily driver?

Do many people do this?

I'd like to get wet weather gear / tonneau cover for mine and possibly some kind of luggage rack too, to go touring in it... I used to use a TVR as my daily driver, but even that kept most of the rain out

^^^ Any advice on sourcing these bits anyone?

That looks fantastic - the engine looks like a beast.

I like the screen, with wipers too!? > is it possible to get wet weather / tonneau kit for these?

And a radio, can you hear the radio?

I modified a hood frame that I brought off eBay then had a local car upholsterer make a hood to suit , still can't hear a radio though

That's interesting.

Also, can anyone tell me the nose to tail and wheel to wheel size of a Viento.

Me again...

Currently lookin at a Viento with a 5.7l Chevy in it... Anyone know anything I should be aware of with that kind of engine? I wonder about cooling... Especially as I'm trying to get a Viento useable as daily driver.

ALSO!

Are bonnets still available anywhere?

And where is a good place to get bonnet vents?

Bonnets should be available from Luego. (Or find a friend that could either make one or make a Fibre Glass mould of one. )

I got my bonnet vents off of a passing Metro, but others are available. Edit bit : have a nose in my archive

Its not in the Gulf pale blue colours is it? If so, it sounds like Luego's demonstrator car that they used to take to shows.

If your going to use a Viento with a 5.7l Chevy engine in it as a daily driver, be very careful in the wet as it will need a very light touch to avoid spinning the rear wheels and ending up in a hedge. First gear will be for novelty value only.

I am well pleased with the first gear in my RV8 viento. I thought it would be rubbish and far to short. But it's really useable. I don't know what the diff ratio is in a Range Rover but my ford one must be a bit higher. Another gear from cruising would be nice though.

Didn't bother with first in my rv8 Viento (as advised by previous owner) other than when parking.

Argh...

I still haven't found my wheels.

I've been in and out of hospital this year and it really gets in the way of car shopping.

I wish I'd just bought the one I was looking at sight unseen but I was hoping to get out there and road test it... now sold.

Anyone know of any others potentially up for grabs? (Has to be a V8... I'm addicted to rumbles, pops and bangs).

AFAIK Clive still has his Viento ? Not an awful amount of money for what it is. If you can't find a V8 buy a 4 cylinder car and convert it

Theres no hurry, just sorned mine!

There has been a few on eBay in the last few months. A partially built one came up with a american V8 not long ago. Do you have a search saved that will email you when one pops up?

I constantly keep an eye out on ebay as I am interested in the value of my own. I have seen two go for over 10K in the last few months. One in particular was on eBay with a Buy It Now for £15K, I don't know what he let it go for though.

Now is the time to buy though, prices seem to dip buy 20-40% at this time of year.

I was interested in the yellow one, but missed out for health reasons. Saw the partially built one too, but I really want one ready to roll, ready for crisp winter morning blasts...
