I understand that if you fit a hans specific seat belt then you need to wear the device and not just wear the belt without wearing the device.

My question is I do not use a Hans but a necksgen and am looking at purchasing a new belt and am not sure if I have a Hans only seat belt someone will say it is not compatible with my unit?

Can anyone shed any light on this one?

It says on necksgen website that it accepts 2” or 3” seat belts.

You can use Hans with normal belts too.

It would not be a good idea to use Hans belts without a neck device because the bets are so narrow.

Yes there are. Hans specific belts have narrower (2" I think) shoulder belts. Non hans FIA belts are 3".

Get a non-Hans belt and you can use it for both Hans (nextgen) and without if you want to. Hans belts must be use with Hans (or nextgen).

As above, there are HANS specific belts.

The 2" shoulder ones have to be used with a hans device, whereas the 3" can be used with or without a hans device.
