20 vauxhall
hi what diff ratio should I run in a westfield with a 2.0 Vauxhall ,4 speed box cossie rear diff its for sprints and hills thanks jonny

Completely depends upon:
Gearbox ratios
Diff ratio
Wheel size
What you rev the engine too

My bad about diff ratio
Having a wild guess id say 3.92 is probably the best most common diff you'll find

not sure which cossie diff you've got ? (sierra 2wd or escort/sierra 4x4 or granada) - so it could be a 7" or a 7.5" diff...
but it'll be either a 3.62 or 3.64 ratio as standard
obviously your gearbox ratios will be a critical factor and your tyre size can make as big a difference as changing the diff ratio...
I'd say download a gearcalc program and have a play with different ratios

just remember that these gear calc programs make no allowance for the power of the engine - so it might tell you your max. speed is 200mph, but
you'll never have the power to get anywhere close to that 
best to look at the results in the middle of the output and see what rev's you'll end up with for a given speed and gear combination and
see how that matches up to your expected power curve from the engine....
