Brake set up.

Hi all,
the car I've just bought currently has a single master cylinder set up with a valve controlling rear bias. I'm gathering it's not going to be competitive for the race series so I want to upgrade to a dual master cylinder with balance bar. Initially, I wanted to keep cost down by mounting the cylinders to the bulkhead and adapt the brake pedal for the balance bar. However, there's not a great deal of room around the pedal so am thinking of using one of these:

Has anyone used one of these on their car and is it any good?

Also, do most of the cars run rubber or braided front hoses?
Thanks, Graham

Most use something like this; OBP C012
metal braided flexible all round as the rubber ones expand on heat build up
