mx5 handbrake cable

Hi
I've been test fitting my rear calipers on my mx5 build and I'm rather concerned that the handbrake cable has a very sharp bend after the caliper bracket and from the pictures I've seen is rubbing on the chassis. What have people done to stop this?
Thanks.
Geoff

Not sure if it's done to prevent problems with the handbrake, but I have seen several cars running the MX5 rear hubs backwards compared to the MX5. I'm doing it because it suits the suspension set up better, but it might allow better cable routing as a consequence.

You need to cut the bracket that comes off the Caliper, shorten and re-weld or that’s what I did on my Haynes build and have seen others doing similar I’ll try and find a better pic
