SVA Step by Step

This is a simple step by step of the forms and processes required to get a car on the road - it's still work in progress, but hopefully helps some people out

I have seen that linked from the current sticky, but i'm looking for a simpler list like

V2352352 form
Average wait 4weeks
Take SVA
DVLA inspection...

You can re-arrange that list to have the DVLA inspection before SVA.... saves time as car doesn't have to be finished!

Cheers,
James

I have added the parts I know about to my original post, but am still confused to buggery as to the order, and what forms need accompanying proof or build photos...

As am I cloudy, just finished reading your build thread (amazing stuff), but I'd love to find out a timeline of application too,

Anybody? I'm surprised with the amount of on the road kits nobody has replied with some advice!

I have done some research and added more to the original post, still looking for help!

from what ive been through, thats correct, although im stuck at the road tax bit. it seems that after registering it you need to get an mot to get road tax...or am i being thick??

All the links have been removed from Totalkitcar!

Surely its time to update this, all the links are dead along with the SVA

Yeah I'd definitely appreciate an update to this. Was hoping to get my 'radically altered car' on the road this year and I don't want to find out I've got a 4 month wait for the dvla to find a pencil.

I know its IVA now but is it as simple as:
1 - apply for IVA
2 - Pass IVA
3 - Register car with DVLA along with all build backup info (photos etc)
4 - tax and on the way.
