rear lights, IVA OK?

Trying to keep my rear end tidy and had a thought. As per the photo below, would I get away with welding brackets discretely on my bottom rail and have my fog and reverse lamps mounted on these brackets with them connected with plug/socket arrangement so they could be removed when not required?

Yeah be fine, just make sure the edges are OK on brackets, and fog light is vertical

They are always required?

Also make sure that the Fog light has the correct markings on the Lens. Quiet a few after market Len's including the round land rover ones do not...

Reverse light is not required for MOT's. or SVA, not sure about the "new" IVA though.

eta, but if fitted, it must work of course.

Reverse is now in MoT for cars used after sept 09. But ive just realised its only a minor fail!
And the 'if fitted' is a myth for most items in MOT. Reverse is not tested on pre 09 cars so even if fitted wont fail.

Reversing light is part of the IVA.
