Bollocks
Bearing on the central heating radiator
Shaft in the freezer
Overnight
Job done

Metal in the microwave will kill the magnetron
Plus as microwaves work quicker on water content it'll heat the grease
I prefer the convicted heat of a radiator

Oven for an hour or so does me
Shaft in the freezer over night, done

Got some core plugs in the freezer to fit actually. Theyve been there weeks...
