MOT - rear fog light

1st mot coming up since getting car on road. So passed Iva with fog lamp wired up to relay so it didn't come back on when lights were switch back on. I have since removed this and wondered if I can wire it separate to the lights or does it have to come on only when dipped headlights are on.
Hope that made sense!!
Cheers

It can be separate: -

http://www.ukmot.com/manual/1.3/Rear-Fog-Lamps

Specifically: -

quote:

A rear fog lamp is permitted to operate independently of headlamp, position lamp or ignition systems.

if its a Q reg, then you don't have to have to have rear fogs. however, I believe if fitted it must work

Well after reading the above link I've wired up and it comes on with side/dipped headlights when switch to on position.
Thanks all
Neil

Cheers for that as that was my next question. I always used Tyne tyres for my last kit and found them ok.
