What is the opinion on this engine?

Am I right in saying that this is the carbed version?

Although I am interested in it as it seems a good price at the moment, it doesn't appear to come with any electrics i.e. loom, plus there is little history to it.

But . . . it is tempting for some reason

I would give this seller a call (number in ad) and have a chat with him. Where did he get it, what boost is it mapped to, how does the fueling increase as boost rises etc etc. I know he says he hasn't run it but he has to know more about this or else he couldn't have bought it himself.

I know it looks an easy way to some great performance (and it may well be) but just be a little cautious! It worries me when people don't know enough about what they are selling. Why not? Has he run it and its knackered and he is backing it out?

Bottom line is at 1200 GBP its a good buy as the manifold, plenum etc all require some work if you started from scratch yourself. More and it may be expensive for what you get!

I hope it works out OK for you - please let us know!

Engine arrived today, Have also managed to have a long chat with the engine builder-it cost over £8000 to build+develop .Everything has been uprated from the clutch/crank/rods/pistons etc, reckoned it was an animal on the dyno(had trouble keeping it below 20psi, that was due to it running pectel management and not handling the speed of the engine)
So now looking at a new ecu, wanted a emerald but have been advised to get a kms setup (apparantly they are more user-friendly)

And I thought it was quick with a xflow in it...

All the best

Thought someone on here would get it!

That is one serious bargain with all that engine work that’s going to fly literally if you’re not careful

Keep us posted on your progress! I would offer any help I could but I’m rubbish fuel injection so not a lot of use I’m afraid.

Dave...
