Update on my brother in Poland. WWW.stevensprogress.wordpress.com
jossey - 20/12/13 at 07:35 PM

For all you who read the deleted post.

Steven survived the first two operations and is in intensive care.

He is critical at present but making small improvement.

They have taken him off the sedation on Tuesday but is still unconscious.

He has appeared in police news a lot but only a few times in uk.

Thanks for all the help and support when I needed a friend.

Darek32 thank you for helping me even though we have never spoken.

Like many, I saw the original post and feared the worst.

Thanks darek.

Poland does have very good hospitals. I was surprised to see they look better than a lot in uk.

Thanks again for helping us.

David.

Steven is out of intensive care and now in a normal ward. We are unsure about if he is fully conscious (not like he ever really was) but I will find out when I can get the interpreter sorted. Thanks for all the support and prayers it's working.

Nick DV - 22/12/13 at 11:44 AM

Just seen this and was shocked! Wishing you all the best at this difficult time

ashg - 22/12/13 at 12:23 PM

bloody hell thats a massive over reaction to a bit of noise, hope the police bang them up for life. thoughts go out to your brother and family.

jossey - 22/12/13 at 12:52 PM

Ashg

My neighbours in Leeds used to make a lot of noise and I used to "say" I'll kill them. But ye it is a bit harsh to actually do that....

I'm sure we've all been annoyed by neighbours one time or another, it's no justification for violence though. Fingers crossed for good news before Christmas.

Not Anumber - 22/12/13 at 07:31 PM

Best of luck to your brother, wishing him a speedy recovery.

jossey - 23/12/13 at 06:09 PM

He is conscious now and called me from the embassy's phone. He is in shock and has no memory of the incident probably best lol.

Anyway thank you all for your support.

He should be out of hospital in a week or 2

Back to the important stuff. Kit cars......

Regards

David

AdrianH - 23/12/13 at 07:38 PM

Good news for you all.

Try and have a good Christmas, probably the last thing on your mind, but spend it with your family and close ones if you can!

Adrian

CRAIGR - 23/12/13 at 07:47 PM

Thats great news David. Will he be coming back to the uk to recuperate?

jossey - 23/12/13 at 08:35 PM

He is having a think about what he wants and we should know in the next few days
Thanks all
David

Andybarbet - 23/12/13 at 09:28 PM

Thats fantastic news :-)

I shall have a small whisky to celebrate for you - been eyeing up a bottle of 'jura' that I was given a few months ago, seems a good time to try it !

Have a great xmas.

Not Anumber - 24/12/13 at 01:09 PM

Heres hoping they really throw the book at the local Neanderthal who did this. It seems Poland followed the general European trend in abolishing the death penalty many years ago, mores the pity it would seem.

Dont forget to talk to a Polish lawyer about a civil action for personal injury.

Andybarbet - 23/2/14 at 09:45 PM

How is your brother doing now, hope he is recovering well ?
