Comp brake alloy hubs.

Hi,

I'm in need of a pair of alloy Hubs for a new project.

I want to use them with Westfield alloy cortina uprights, I've spied these on eBay -

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281189909006

They 'look' lighter than the Westfield, rally design & hi spec ones.

Are they compatable? Is anyone Using them?

From everything I've read they are badly drilled for the studs and often they fall out!
That have maybe fixed that problem now.
I'm going to try the rally design ones.

I've used the rally design ones in the past wags on the past westfields, but to save having to have them machined lighter these may be a better option.

Has anyone else any experience of these?

What about these from DRD racing? The stuff I have already had from them is really good quality.

They are, Autograss stuff doesn't seem to have the added "race car" price premium. Just check they are definitely Cortina Geo, I assume they are but have never asked.

i wouldnt buy anything from Compbrake, its run by the chap who owned TAS, i had a quick rack kit from them (for a Nova rally car ) it snaped in half, also a brake bias bar, and guess what, it also snapped in half !!. i was lucky not to crash either time. i got the impression they knew nothing about metals/heat treatment

Bit of a bump but to add some info... The DRD ones are for Viva uprights, but Jamie can do Cortina with a 2-3 week lead time. Helpful chap!

I recently bought a 'Clio Specific' balance bar pedal box from Compbrake - the quality and fit are awful. It's also almost twice the advertised weight. Compbrake haven't responded to my request to return - thankfully I bought it using paypal so it is now with them.

http://www.compbrake.com/product/renault-clio-floor-mounted-cable-pedal-box-sportline-3-pedal/ It is not 2.6kg!
