Ford Wheels for Westfields and Ford Hub Kit Cars
Jibberingloon - 30/6/15 at 07:04 AM

Hi All,

Well this is my first post

I am looking at various wheels for my Wetsy, and was wondering will any 4 stud ford based wheel fit?

Escort / Fiesta / Focus / Mondeo etc?

I look at the Rimstock Pro Race wheels and they are 15x7 ET23-24, but a lot of the generic ford wheels are all high ET35-45 so will sit in 10-25mm

I assume I would have to run Hubcentric Spacers on these to get the offset right?

Thanks

Mark

If you want OE wheels with the old ford fitment (4x108 with a 63.4mm centre bore) and ~ET24 then you need to think of an older generation of cars
Mk1 & 2 escorts, capri's.....

The mk1 focus has mostly ET52.5
Most sierra wheels are ET35 or ET38

With the spacer you will get even worse offset: wheel ET 25 + 10mm spacer will give you offset/ET 15...

Can also depend on which model of Westy you have - for example Sierra SDV's use et 37/38 whereas modular builds tend to use et23/24.

If it's a Mazda SDV, they use 100 PCD, otherwise its std Ford 108 PCD (so Ford and Peugeot wheels fit depending on offset)

You can use spacers and longer studs to help if they sit in too far though.

http://www.willtheyfit.com/ is very handy for working out what fits too.

You can also look at Peugeot wheels as they're the same 108mm PCD and often lower ET than Ford. (not sure on the centre bore)

If you want ET 24-25ish then yes, you'd need a 10-11mm spacer (and longer studs) on an ET35 wheel to get the same offset.

So my car is a V Reg car built by Terry Nightingale

Looks like Sierra diff and currently some 15" wheels

They look like these

And the fronts are ok but the rear sit in the arch a lot.

So think I either need spacers? or get some nice wheels

Ford Puma wheels are suitable:

Peugeot / Citroen have 65.1mm centre bores - you need adaptor rings to use them on ford spec hubs (lots of places sell them)
