Smaller calipers
F1SJL - 29/8/15 at 12:22 PM

Hi all

I'm sure this has already been covered at some point but I'll ask anyway

What calipers could I use on rear as a replacement for sierra ones. Need to operate handbrake also.

Are there any which just bolt straight on without modding brackets.

Reason for change is dropping to 13's and proving to be a squeeze.

Thanks

Steve

Have you tried smaller handbrake mechanism lever springs?

Not sure that would be enough. Would that moe the lever down? When handbrake is on they clear just about.

Caprisport and arrow do a vw based kit for English axle with aluminium calipers. These may be able to be made to fit.

Also I think pug 406 ones can be used.

Bendix handbrake calipers are compact. Peugeot and citroens have them.

Do these bolt to straight on or would I nee to manufacture brackets?

They are floating so bracket with 2 M12 bolt holes (to fit the caliper), and holes to fit to the upright.

Ps added an ebay link on my original post.
