its for the paperwork.....
I know somebody who'd quite like a crack at that
He's just in the process of restoring another Mk 1 and its having the wide arch treatment

And the roof! They fetch stupid money, i don't think he will have any problem shifting that tbh.
I contemplated buying 1 about 15miles from me eariler in the year.
It went within 12 hours but £10000 for a mk1 mexico no wonder it went that quickly.
I have sent so many to the big scrapyard in the sky over the years, if only I knew then what I now know, I really would be minted!
A genuine Mexico could be worth £20K if done properly and it won't cost much more to restore that shell than one which looks half decent so why not? Probably worth a bit more yet
It's nuts - they're fetching crazy money ATM.... I've been looking at them for a while now... There's one on PH which is done in
Eddie Stowbart team colours which is bonkers expensive (clearly due to it's history).
I've got my eye on this : eBay Item - only thing thats troubling me is how I'm going to sneak it past SWIMBO ????

Ok, some one is going to have to spend a LOT of money to put that back on the road!
However, the fact that the shell has a
"BFAT" number stamped into means it is the real deal, and not just any Old Ford that someone could make to look like a "nice" Old
Ford.
Any way, thanks for the heads up ! I will be having a bid . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Given what pops up at the bottom as simillar I'd say it looks to be going for fair money and sounds like someone might have a good christmas.
Auction ended early. I saw it at 1550 with 4d 14h to go.
