To get high misalignment angles on rod ends it is usual to fit special bushes into the bore of the rod end.
In the case of a 5/8" bore, a 1/2" bolt is used.
If you needed a 5/8" bolt you would probably need to use a 3/4" rod end to accommodate the high misalignment bushes.
