Ford m16 caliper alternatives

Just trying to work out what to do brake wise with my zx9r powered striker hillclimb project.
Is there a cheap m16 alternative out there.
My car is going to weigh less than 500kg so on the look out for something a little lighter.
Currently running 13 inch wheels and none vented discs.
Can't afford £400 plus pads for a new set of lightweight alternatives at the mo. Is there a suitable bolt caliper from a breakers that would fit the bill or does anyone have anything going spare.
Cheers
Chris
