Atlas axles

Does anybody know how strong an atlas axle is? torque rather than power.
I have an idea of a saab turbo into my dolomite project, and a baby atlas would fit. But is it any stronger than a sprint axle (which I have) which should do 200ftlbs.

Dave is running 380 bhp / 350ftlb through the one I built.
He hasn’t had any issues with the axle.

Atlas' (atlasses?) are mega strong as standard, and if that's not enough then there are a myriad of bolt-on upgrades available to make them bulletproof. There's a reason that there's an atlas under the rear of pretty much every powerful escort rally car.

Baby atlas is pretty rare - if you have one then you are in possession of quite a valuable bit of kit. They are highly sought after as they are the same width as an English axle so a direct fit under an Escort or similar without needing wide arches.

useful Atlas info

Thank you both for the good (and bad) news
Looks like I need to find one
I may feel poor when I do, probably the most expensive part of the idea (I want an omega gearbox, but they too are mega rare now)

With that article being 10 years old you could probably triple the prices.
