front end knocking

Well I've finally gotten to the stage where I it will move under its own steam and had to take it for a little blat outside the garage. Definitely put a smile on my face.

I have a knocking in the front end as the suspension starts to rebound and I can't for the life of me find the cause. Everything torqued up and checked. I can replicate it bouncing the front end by hand but still can't find it. There is a very little play in the steering rack (refurbished mk2 escort) but I don't think that is where it is coming from. Any hints?

Definatly knoking and not just heavy creaking from the wishbone bushes??

definite knocking I can feel it clunk/click with my hands when I bounce it. And it appears to be both sides but they do move together so it is hard to tell.

need to get someone else to bounce it while you feel around it, see if you can zone in a bit closer to the source

Used nitrons tested by procomp and new springs fitted. However they came with springs loose so I may have wound the spring up too loose or too tight
