What tyres for my R13 wheels

Just done the swap from r16 7.5J wheels

To a set of mini-lite r13 wheels. My god what an improvement!

Now currently the two rear tyres are cheapo Nanking but these look brand new, now the front tyres are the same however need changing

Do I just get 2 more Nanking on the front at a cost of about £85 fitted for two.

Or do I get 2 yokohomas at a cost of £155 fitted.

What would my car be like with two types of rubber? Would I be fighting a never ending tail happy battle?

The last optic is to get 4 brand new yokohoma A539 at a cost of £230 (black circle have a deal on)

Would there be any noticeable difference?

It's for an mk indy.

Cheers again!

Buy 4 yokohamas and it's done. The car will be so much better.

I'd splash out on some 048's. Then you'll really notice a difference. 539's are OK but they're just a good quality road car tyre not a specialist performance tyre for light cars.

As mentioned, either AO48's or R888's....Either will transform your car, it really is worth spending the money on good tyres, plus they will last ages as it's a light car....bite the bullet and do it :-)

I had cheap tyres first, they were rubbish.
I upgraded to a359 tyres which were better, but i still wasn't happy
I now have R888 all round and won't go back to a standard tyre.

So so good especially on a car like ours, R888 or A048!

What offset and rim width did you go for on your minilites? Am considering doing the same on my Indy.
