Westfield 4.4 Freelander Diff Provenence

It turns out that my Freelander cased Quaife ATB that I bought 2nd hand from a Westfield owner has a 4.4:1 ratio CWP (rather than the Land Rover std 3.21:1) and apart from the fact that these were Westfield custom jobs I can't find out anything else about them.

Does anybody know when they were made, how many or for what purpose? Also I assume they and their spares are no longer available.

It's pretty useless for a road going BEC but for sprints and short tracks like Blyton Park it's perfect.
