Uprights

Do all the parts have to come from a donor? say for example someone had some fabricated titanium uprights going spare and happened to be trying to use them

Would this be cricket or instant go to jail for being silly?

You can make it out of what ever you want - but assuming you're building a kit car / locost and you want an age related number plate, 2 major parts have to come from the donor that you can prove the age of. Engine and gearbox are typically used.

You can use all new parts with no donor parts if you like!

If you used all the parts from a donor and nothing else, you'd end up with a donor.

After watching your Instagram page I can only say you are WAY OVERQUALIFIED for locost building.

If the fabricated uprights are brand new, get a receipt to prove that. The problem comes where you use second-hand parts that are not from the donor, which could lead to a car of indeterminate age, which will be a 'Q' plate, rather than an age indicitive of the donor.
