Sierra steering column

Hi Guy's,

I am putting together the steering column all the way down to the steering rack and have a few queries. Does the telescopic part of the shaft at the top end need to be pulled to the out position when putting together the linkage? Also what part of the original steering column is the collapsable bit? I have the triangle end just now into the ford UJ along to another triangle end which i then have another original ford part that goes to that and at the other end is splined with a rubber damper on it? Should i use these or do away this and use one section. Any help and pictures much appreciated , this is for a luego viento by the way. Getting excited as parts now going on.

Cheers Mike
