Rod end boots

Was wondering if you'd fail an IVA with exposed rod ends? Splits in gaiters can fail an MOT after all.

I decided not to fit the boots when I put rod ends on my top wishbones. That was several years ago and I've never had an issue come MOT time.

The area between the wishbones is exempt according to the IVA manual, but every tester is different so don't rely on hope, try and cover as much as possible always makes them happier.

not an issue, they only check for excess play. Boots on rod ends are quite rare.
