Wireless printer/scanner

I'm rearranging my home office and printer and scanner cables won't reach the PC in the new location. I want to go cordless but am a bit confused on what to get.

When searching online there seem to be some bluetooth devices that plug into the printer/scanner and others that plug into the PC USB. Do the latter come with an a receiver attachment to connect to the printer?

I'm after the cheapest solution possible. I already have a bluetooth dongle for the PC to communicate with my mobile.

Any advice from people who've done this already would be greatly appreciated.

Depends where you are starting from what hardware have you got ?

For scanning via a network connection you really need a proper network all in one printer scanner or even simpler one that has wifi built in Brother do a nic wifi ready printer scanner DCP340CW.

Another solution is use a wireless router and a printer/scanner that will plug straight into one of the routers ethernet ports -- this is the way I use my HP OJ 2570 -- (a cracking good printer)
