Neoprene material

Anyone know where to get some cheap neoprene material offcuts ?

Wetsuit manufacturer ?

Got some MK fibreglass seats that are comfy but may need a little padding on longer journeys.

Not sure what you mean, like the old "beads" type the taxi drivers use but with air bubbles ?

Ive got a couple of old wetsuits/drysuits you could have. They are only taking up space in the cupboard. There are some bright patches on them, but you could probably find enough black on them to make some pads. You could always cover to make it look better.

Never thought of using neoprene as padding, but it would work well. Mite hold water a bit too well if it rained though.

I'm very interested in this topic of padding the bare fibreglass seats.

I want a pair of them for my car but my wife is complaining about the lack of comfort for longer journeys.

I would appreciate any suggestions you guys can offer!

Have you tried leaving her at home?

Its always better without the drivers windbag installed !

Try looking at some sleep mats like campers use under sleeping bags, available in various colours and only a fiver each. Double sided or spray adhesive should hold it on. If you don't want to stick it on you could stick some down your pants..

I wouldn't mind experimenting with your old wetsuits (oo er) If you get a quote for the postage etc then drop me a U2U we can sort it out

thanks

PS the car is going to have an aero screen and no weather gear, if it rains having a wet arse is the least of my worries !!!!
