Nylon or similar material wanted
givemethebighammer - 18/8/09 at 05:42 PM

I need two strips of nylon or a similar tough, slippery material 30mm x 10mm x 2000mm. If any one has any or knows where I can get some in the Leicestershire area I have beer tokens waiting.

Thanks

not hard to join, cut sand and polish.

lol

It's to fill the gap either side in an up and over garage door. Idea is to attach it to either side of the door so it comes down smoothly without catching on the stone door surround
(no frame attached to the stonework).

I'd rather do it in one piece than sticking lots of pieces together. I know nylon comes in 2000mm x 1000mm (ish) sheets so hoped maybe someone might have an offcut.

Hi

How about using 'P' section trim? Wouldn't this be easier to source and provide a better seal by virtue of it's compliance?

Cheers Mick

Thanks Mick, but it really does need to fill the gap between the door and the surround, it's a double door and it wobbles on it's runners as it comes down, sometimes catching on the stone door surround in the process.
