Hi, im on the hunt for a cheap donor for a haynes roadster, i would prefer an mx5 but would settle for a sierra. im looking to buy it towards the end of next month when i have some spare cash, i must be able to drive it home.

Have a look on mx5nutz, it definitely seems to be the season for donors. There was a silver one on there for £400 that was still on the road.

Dan, if you can't find a drivable donor find one that is within 100 miles then post an add on shipley for car collections. I brought mine for £150 and it cost me £50 to get it dropped to the workshop from mid Kent.

personally I don't see any point in going down the sierra route now, 1980's tech some of it included 1970's stuff. You'll find mx5's much cheaper and vastly more common for spares.

there's a couple of mx5s on retro-rides at the £3-400 mark?
