Spotted my old car
Neil P - 24/8/15 at 08:03 AM

I saw my old car being driven through Hull yesterday. It was a bit of a surprise as I sold it to someone who lives quite a long way away. It's a yellow and black Haynes Roadster with a 16v 4AGE in it. Is it anyone on here that has it now?

Hi Neil

That will be me buddy. I purchased it a few weeks back from chesterfield...

You built a good one.

Looked good!

Guy who bought it from me had plans for it - I guess he must have changed his mind.

If you need to know anything about it, give me a shout. I think I may still have some details of wiring etc.

Andy (who purchased it off you) did have plans for it but bought a westfield.
This is my first roadster or kit car for that matter and so far im loving it.
Only thing negative comment ive got is that i hate the kwit fit own brand tyres lol i have no faith in them.
Did you happen to have any geometry setup done on the car?

Neil P - 24/8/15 at 01:27 PM

If it still has the steel wheels on it, they are from the donor car - as are the tyres, unless he changed them.

I put it through SVA then had a few things going on at home which meant I didn't get to do anything else with it and it sat in the garage for a couple of years before I decided to sell it.

None of the suspension was set up properly, it was just a basic "does it look about right" to get it to the SVA and nothing done with it after that. Ride height, damper settings and steering settings all needed doing.

lol build and garage it, I like that lol.

Thanks for confirming that, I had a feeling it hadn't.

ive got a plan of changing the motor for a honda k20 (civic type r) but need to get use to it first and look at the overall costs.

dont think the type r engine can be fitted due to the way it rotates the s2000 engine has been used

K20 engine has the gearbox opposite side to the old honda bseries id just have to change the exhaust to the drivers side. That and the overall hieght are the only issues i can think of at the moment. There plenty available so no harm in trying.
